Incorporating a business corporation, with Mentor
On this page
In short
Mentor helps the practice incorporate more business corporations with the same team. The client's information is entered once: it serves the filing with the Registraire des entreprises as well as the corporate minute book, drafted from the practice's own templates. The notary approves every document.
What Mentor brings
More incorporations, same team
The repetitive work of the file is taken care of: the practice takes on more mandates without depending on hiring.
A consistent minute book, file after file
Every minute book follows the practice's templates, whoever on the team prepares it.
Less retyping, fewer discrepancies
Information entered once appears everywhere. A discrepancy with the register is flagged before the minute book is handed over.
The notary decides
Mentor suggests and flags; the notary reviews and approves every document.
Frequently asked questions
Does the client need an account to send their information?
No. The practice sends a personal link in the client's name. The client fills in the form online and attaches documents, with no account to create.
Does Mentor file the articles with the Registraire des entreprises?
No. The practice files on the Registraire's platform. Mentor prepares the information so that nothing is retyped.
Does Mentor help choose the corporation's activity code?
Yes. Mentor suggests a code from the Registraire des entreprises' official list, based on the activity the client describes; the practice confirms it.
Can a corporation, a trust or several people be shareholders?
Yes. Each shareholder is handled according to its type, individual, corporation or trust, and its documents are drafted accordingly.
What if the register does not match the client's form?
The discrepancy is flagged with the document that shows it, before the minute book is handed over.
Can the minute book follow the practice's own templates?
Yes. The practice imports its Word templates; each minute book document is drafted from its template, or from Mentor's when the practice has none.
